It’s more than just a saying in Costa Rica — it’s a way of life that embraces being in the moment and taking time to witness the beauty around you. After visiting this Central American biodiverse environment, and hiking through cloud and rain forests with my partner, I wanted to capture our adventures through the forests, waterfalls and rainfalls in chroma. I am drawn to painting in bold colors and using the creativity of collage as a blended medium for storytelling. Together, they combine unique elements to create texture and vibrancy. They allowed me to transform bold colors and translate lived experience into a window of possibility and what could be.

Kelli is a staff member at the College of Medicine, Department of Marketing and Communications.
