Series of Three Hand Thrown Vases | Ceramic 2024/25

This series of three small purple vases is an exploration of the smallest adjustments — like the pressure of a pinky finger—can transform a piece and create an entirely new shape. Working on a small scale requires patience as well as trusting in the process to see how each piece will reveal itself, each with its own set of quirks. To reflect how the natural world also uses tiny details, such as in small wildflowers, this series was glazed in violet, lilac, or with a floral image.
