Feathered Friends | Acrylic on wood plank 2024
I’ve always had a deep appreciation and admiration for birds—their vibrant colors, melodic sounds, and inspiring natural abilities. I started painting around this time last year and fell for the “in the moment” sense it brings. As for this piece, these friends are known as the “upside down” birds (White-breasted Nuthatch). They’re aptly named for their incredible ability to walk down trees headfirst—the only bird in North America with this unique skill! I hope you enjoy.
