I captured the reference photo standing on a walkway between my dad, who was lagging behind, trying to take a video, and my mom and brother, who were tired of us recording everything. We had woken up at around 4:30 AM that day to catch the first train out of the station, as we had thought of taking advantage of our jetlag to avoid the morning rush, but none of us had anticipated how exhausted we would be after walking over 20k steps each day we were there, since we were compressing a "2-week itinerary" into 9 days. I had the only SIM card and did not realize my photo settings were set-up as "Wifi back-up only" until after I had deleted several hundred photos while eating lunch at Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum. The reference photo was one of the few that survived.
