Sweet Treats | Watercolor 2024

I create note card sets and prints from my watercolor paintings, so I always have the end in mind when I start a piece. Of course, with watercolor that can always change a bit due to the nature of having to respond to what the water does while I’m painting. But I find that only makes painting more fun because a piece may end up looking different than how I originally envisioned it!

The watercolor paintings in this piece were for a Valentine’s eye chart print / card set that I designed. I love making the paintings larger than the final product so I can get more detail in them. You can see the end results on my website at indigoirisdesigns.com.
