Out of the Darkness | Photography, 2025

We've had many familial life changes for the past couple of years. Those events threw me into a very dark place. This past January, I traveled to Northen Michigan for some respite. After so many days of darkness, the first night I was there, the sun literally and figuratively broke through the clouds, igniting a spark in me that I didn't know I still had. Many of the community appeared as the sun was setting, and we were bonded in this awe-inspiring moment. I am inspired to share these photos because I know so many people suffer from depression and other mental health conditions, and I know that there is help, and I know that the light light does eventually come back.
