I began my pottery journey in 2017 when my husband signed us up for a Columbus Recreations and Parks ceramics class to lift my spirits. What started as cure for the cold-weather doldrums is now a weekly opportunity to create and learn in a studio full of likeminded student potters. I enjoy working instinctually and with only a vague plan most of the time. There are so many chances for a piece to go wrong; on the wheel, in the bisque fire, in the glazing process. Pottery is my safe space to try, fail, learn, and try again.
