World of Perioperative Microplastic Waste | plastic & foam, 2023-24

Climate Action has become an imperative mission for many. US healthcare contributes almost over 5% to the world’s carbon footprint annually. I have made a multi-media project with all clean plastics and other objects like foam bits I collected and kept in my pocket over the year during the various operating room cases. The chaotic appearance is to represent the overwhelming amount of products we have. The glitter is to represent that microplastics are found EVERYWHERE and we must decrease our use.
