I’ve always found joy in capturing the moments that make life so meaningful. For several years, I’ve been an active member of the Mount Pleasant Photography Club in Fairfield County, and as part of the leadership committee, I’ve had the pleasure of planning and participating in numerous photo shows. The experience has allowed me to learn so much from my talented fellow members, and I continue to develop my photography skills every day.

Being outdoors is my happy place. I love going on long walks and hikes through nature, capturing the beauty I encounter along the way. Flowers, butterflies, animals, and people all catch my eye, and I especially enjoy photographing family moments—particularly those candid shots.

Photography is deeply intertwined with my passion for scrapbooking. Since completing my first scrapbook in 1994, I’ve been documenting my life and those close to me, one photo at a time. Each picture I take has a purpose—to preserve memories and create something meaningful. I love creating artful albums that tell the stories of my life.

This photograph, which I captured during a field trip to the Park of Roses with my photography club, features an Allium—also known as a flowering onion. I found the unique texture and vibrant color of the flower visually fascinating. It’s moments like these that inspire me to keep exploring and capturing the world through my lens.
