Open Heart | Pencil and Paper, 2023

During my senior year of high school, all seniors had to complete a 'senior project' of any dimension. I decided to combine my deep love for medicine and art in a project surrounding anatomical illustration, taking inspiration from great physician artists like Frank Netter and Santiago Ramon y Cajal. This piece captures the complexity of an organ vital to what makes us human; our hearts.

Kendal is a Biomedical Science Student a the College of Medicine.
