Three Roses | Colored pencil, 2025
In this drawing of three roses, I wanted to capture the
delicate process of healing, expressed through the simple
yet profound imagery of these flowers. The three roses
symbolize the layers of grief we experience when we lose
someone or something important, and the gradual journey
of letting go. The accompanying words, “little by little we let
go of loss but never of love,” reflect how, though the weight
of grief may lessen with time, love remains eternal and
ever-present, even after the absence. The roses, with their
intricate details, evoke the tenderness of memory, illustrating
that while we may release the pain of loss, love endures, a
constant thread weaving through the fabric of our lives.
